This opportunity is ideal for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with active Maryland Professional Licensure seeking a contract role in a K-12 school setting in the Baltimore area, MD. The position involves supporting preschool through middle school students across multiple school locations, with options for full-time and part-time schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to preschool through 8th grade students, including those in community preschool locations.
- Deliver itinerant support across multiple elementary and middle schools.
- Collaborate with and supervise Speech Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) supporting services.
- Assess, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school and state requirements.
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in school-based settings, ideally with preschool and K-8 student populations.
- Ability to provide itinerant services across multiple school sites.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Supervisory experience or willingness to supervise SLP-As.
- Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) or part-time (30 hours/week) schedules as assigned.
Schedule and Locations:
- Seasonal contract with start dates as early as December 1, 2025, or before Thanksgiving.
- Contract periods: December 1, 2025January 9, 2026 (can extend), February 16May 29, 2026 (potential ESY extension in July), and March 16June 18, 2026 (potential ESY extension in July).
- Job sites include community preschool locations (itinerant), Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Full-time positions require Monday through Friday coverage; part-time option Monday through Thursday, with flexibility to extend to five days.
